Let me just start out by telling you a little bit about myself.
I'm not an easily disgusted person. In fact I'm pretty mellow, laid back and don't get too creeped out about much. WELL, with that said. This last Tuesday, I had a out right Gagging experience that brought to my attention...that I HATE hair. OH boo hoo right?. well let me give you my past experiences that have been building up and then I will tell you the Tuesday Trauma.
Here's the Hair history:
-I don't enjoy having my hair fall out in the shower by the hand fulls and having to make a little pile of it on the tub side to slow down the inevitable clog that always occurs in ALL showers.
-I cannot be the one to unclog those said hair monsters from the shower. If you've seen them you know it's what bad dreams are made of.
-My husband shaves his head every week and a half or so and those tiny hairs not only are impossible to completely clean up but they have this sneaky way of getting into my clothes and poking me to insanity OR they just burrow into your skin and try to become part of you. not cool.
-Ok this is an OLD image that I can't shake. I don't even know if I've told my cousin that this story scarred me...I was probably in Jr. High? I was at my cousin Ashley's house and she had two cats. I can't even remember which cat it was but she was holding it....and btw-I DETEST cats, so, she says "look at this, my cat gets black heads in her chin and she loves to have them pulled out because they itch her" SO as she is saying this, she pulls this cats hairs out of it's chin and has a good pinch full of hairs that each have a big black goob of a ball on the end. SICK right. my stomach is turning just thinking about it. I'm forever changed. Ruined. From that moment.
NOW that image and my other hair scares are what played a role in the TUESDAY TRAUMA.
YOU ready?
I went to get my hair cut and dyed at my friends salon in Btfl. As she was styling mine, I caught the conversation of the stylist next to us. She was ranting and raving about how waxing your nose is the best thing that you could possibly do. She was expressing her excitement in a sales pitch sort of way to her client. This guy was one of those men with the really big heads and large noses. Not OLD old just proportioned with a larger noggin. So, she is telling him that so and so did it and her brother and her dad and the guy before him...blah bla bla. right? Well he's listening quietly and then agrees to have HIS own larger nose waxed. By this time, my friend and I were both in the conversation with them and I was watching this process unfold.
So, you get the wax, which was blue, blob it on a 6 inch stick, shove it up each nostril and hold it there for a bit, till it dries then yank it out and Viola. When I saw that cranium man with those sticks of wax up his nose I had to giggle a bit. I even said to him...I think you ought to take a cell phone pic of this and send it to your loves all over the world. He denied and I said that I was going to then. BUT then he acted like he was going to head bash me if I did. SO I regretfully held off.
THIS IS THE disgusto part. When that lady yanked those suckers out....THEY WERE COVERED IN SPIKES OF THICK BLACK NOSE HAIRS WITH LITTLE WHITE blobs on each end. AAAAAHHHAHHAHAHA. I died. right there with my new hair and all.

Is January over yet?
It seems like this month has really been four months all bumbled in one January?. Wasn't Christmas a lifetime ago? ...Not that it hasn't been a good "four months". I'm just sayin? I think the holidays this time around were so exciting that once they were over I had some sort of January Blues Hang over.?
So I'm back. No more blog strike. No more hang over.
My kids are growing like WEEDS baby. Fast and Furious has been their life lately.
Roma has TWO little teeth poppin out now that she uses to chew her little apple "puffs". She's eating fruits and veggies too but every now and again when I'm trying to feed her she'll give me the tight lip and crazy eyes. She looks at me like I'm trying to feed her an earthworm or something worse and pinches her lips together as tight as they go. Even when I try to make her laugh she'll just do it closed mouth. It cracks me up because generally she opens, eats and loves every bite.
She has also mastered all the basic dog tricks...Sit, roll over, beg for food, and speak. I CAN not get enough of her. Once Beck goes down for his nap and I'm feeding her the bottle that puts her to sleep, I ALWAYS think that I will put her right in bed and do the million things that I need to get done...BUT I end up just holding her while she sleeps. It's one of the best things.
Beckham is getting better with potty training. It's a funny thing though because we bought him a
little potty like you do for kids and honestly, it's kind of grose. When kids go poo in a little bucket that you constantly have to take it apart, carry to the toilet, plop it, flush it and then clean. It can be grose?. He will not be persuaded or convinced that going #2 on the big potty (with the attachment) is the best way. So I'm happy that he is going in any toilet but I laugh because it still is a stinky ordeal. And even when kids do get potty trained, you've still got to wipe their little bums till their like 4 or 5? Anyways, It's an exciting time. It is Dang cute to see him Cheer, jump and be so happy when he hears that potty music play.
Dave gave Beckham a haircut a couple of days ago. It looks good. He's getting better at it. And..Dave keeps saying to me, as if I need to know and the internet world needs to know, that Fall Out 3 is SO slow and an impossible puzzle? What ev Davey boy..While I blog he plays 360. So, Let's end this kid update and move along. Enjoy the pics.

Two Kids and two doctor appointments..
He hated the whole visit from the get go. His face turned fluorescent red and he was insane-o man. Poor guy had to get a shot and a finger prick, which put him over the top. He mellowed out once he had a couple suckers and he knew we were on our way out. HOORAY for no more shots until kindergarten!
I can't believe that she is already a HALF a year old. She has been such a fun addition to our family. What a cutie! Of course she didn't know what was going on so she was talking and laughing when her double thigh shots changed her mood. I'm telling you...it's tough to watch as a parent. I'm glad that Dave was there this time. Actually, a double kid Dr. appointment couldn't have happened without him.
We feel very blessed to have doctor checkups and two healthy kids. Lets hope we can keep it that way through the winter.
It feels like a day at the beach.?

HELLO 2009..
Many things have come and gone and some stuck around....here are a few of our latest happenings.(in no particular order)
-Dave got a RipStick for Christmas and we are avoiding a broken bone while riding it around his classroom. It's actually pretty addicting.
-1 cavity for Dave and 3 for me....Dentist work has come and gone, but the hole in our bank account is lingering.
-Speaking of teeth...Roma got her first on Christmas Eve. cute lil' muncher!
-Hit the slopes for the 1st time this season and it Hit me back. I've either got serious back problems or probably just getting Old and weak?
-Had a get together with a bunch of Centi friends...and had some interesting conversations. I also had a lesson in "high heel walking" the same night. I still can't buy the whole pain for sexy idea.?
-We finally watched Mama Mia and The Dark Knight. Which if mixed together, you can only imagine the creepy nightmares.
-Lately the Magic Bullet has been getting a good workout. I puree food for Roma and also for my new cookbook...Deceptively Delicous. It has some pretty crazy recipes that have been interesting to taste test.
Ok I'm being summoned by both kids and a poopy diaper. Back to the grindstone. Peace
