Checkin' out the River..

The last couple of days have been great weather. Great here means NO snow storms and NO negative temperatures. It's actually been sunny and not as COLD...so, last night we decided to take a drive to Rockport reservoir and walk around the river/campground area. I think Beck would've jumped in if we'd let him. BBRRRR. It's a pretty place for fly fishing. Maybe next time.?

5 mths prego now and growing quite the belly under that coat.

what cute BOYS!

HAHA. We're shocked? and then the batteries died.

Baby steppin around the block.

Dave and I have been letting Beckham walk himself around our block. He loves it of course but it seriously takes a good 20+minutes to get back home. When normally it would be about a 5 minute walk. He kicks the snow, picks up rocks and will do tiny grampa shuffles when the terrain changes in any way. It's pretty funny.
It's a great way to tire the little guy out.

Babies are coming!

It was my cousin Trisha's baby shower this saturday. WOOO HOO. She is 9 mths prego and choosing to get induced on the 29th....LEAP year. Crazy mama. I'm so excited to see the little guy. Some names that are on her list are...Crosby, Led, and Vincent. It's the Rock baby. Everyone calls him Gethro right now but I don't think that one will stick?

The food was great and it was fun to see everyone! Trish and I were convinced that we had to have a BELLY photo shoot. I'm 4 1/2 mths now and am kind of scared to get so big again. aaaah. It's just SO....I don't know, uncomfortable that last bit. Anyways, I'm sending Trish my good luck labor VIBES and hoping for a fast and easy delivery. :) LOVE you CUZ!

My lovely Mother and her twin sis..AH cute!

Here Fishy Fishy!

What could be more COOL than going icefishing for a Laurels activity?

This was a first time for all 5 girls and everyone but one caught fish. I think We did pretty good for beginners! Thanks to the 6 guys that came with us, 3 of those being my DAD-EO, uncle Perry and Uncle Myron, we had snowmobiles, tents to stay warm and a total grease cookout right on the ice. They cooked everyone fish, mozerella sticks and jalepeno poppers for lunch. It was quite the event. I think we'll make it a new tradition.

I thought my little fish reminder was pretty cute?

Most of the fish were just babies

Then Em caught the trophy of the group

Lunchtime

..and, we're off

Say cheese!

The good doctor told us today that baby #2 will be a GIRL.!! It was so nice to finally see a baby in there! It's amazing how a black and white small screened picture can bring so much excitment and relief. SHE was just perfect. Moving around and showing off her lil' appendages. What a miracle it is to grow a baby.
Dave and I were both a little surprised by the gender. I thought all along 'girl' but still figured that somehow the doc would say boy.? We are of course very excited and already thinking girl names, looks, and girly cute clothes.
Big brother Beckham is unfortunately showing his pink with a nasty case of pink eye. Poor guy. I am hoping for the best but planning on him sharing the goop eye with me and D. That stuff is yuck wild fire!

Oh Yes, as for the 'buns' in the oven, pink was chosen, taste tested and beat by the ultimate raspberry cheese cake. But, no hard feelings, that stuff deserved a win. Mmmmm.

Much love, Bre, Dave, Beck and baby GIRL.

My bun in the oven is....?

Still UNKNOWN, but find out tomorrow.

Tomorrow night is a combined yw/ym bake off competition. The bishopric is coming to do a taste test and give awards. If we find out its a girl...I bring pink bread; if boy, it'll be blue. I told everyone to expect a color coded delish dish. Now everyone can see my 'home' made bun in the oven. Mmm!

Just a thought?

We all decided to take advantage the sunny weather today and get outside. Dave went fly fishing, and Beck and I went on a walk. We walked probably a mile or two around town and this is what I saw over and over.

Seriously like every house had a vehicle that was snowed in and most looked drivable. I wonder if most households have a car that they don't 'really' need?
*as you can tell fishing was probably much more entertaining.... maybe next time?

UP to date, update?!

Things have been great, busy and changing rapidly since I've been able to really spend some quality blogger time. So, here's the Scoop.

-My church calling as YW prez. has been full speed since I was asked in December. I have already felt a wide range of emotions as I have had to pick counselors and advisors, arrange a million mtgs, plan mutual nights, Delegate, create and plan New Beginnings, give some "I'm Breona, and excited to be here" talks, and my first combined YW Lesson last sunday. WOO HOO. Seriously, I was nervous in a lot of those situations and I know that with prayer and faith anything is possible. It's been a great couple of months so far and feel lucky to have the experience. I have about 25 YW in my ward and all of them have been pretty hilarious to get to know.

-Most of you know that Dave is an 8th grade middle school teacher....well, this last weekend the roof of his school partially collapsed from all of the snow. The damage was mostly over the girl's locker room and over the 2 gyms. Luckily for them, it happened on a weekend. He and the rest of the teachers have been relocated at the elementary and High school until further repairs. Kids were in shambles because their precious books and 'crap' were thrown into garbage bags and labeled for them to pick up later. I guess some stuff was damaged and kids were losing it?..Dave says the week has felt more like a month. CRAZY Kamas snow needs to ease up.!
-Beckham is a million miles per hour. His hair is growing back to the red shag. He can feed himself with a fork and spoon. Gives Kisses freely, loves to thrown balls, he has a fetish with putting things in his ears and walking around with them hanging out...like a pen or something dangerous like that. He is alway giggling, dancing, jumping, and does sign language like a champ. He signs, Bath, food, drink, milk, all done, book, and please. It's been a life saver. He got his first pet goldfish yesterday and loves to smack his mouth up and down to do what they do.
Right this minute he's being a good boy and watching Einstein in Dave's Class while I use the computer. Ya, I'm about this close to just purchasing the internet for home.

-SO, Baby baby news. I am about 20 weeks prego now and showing it for sure. My belly isn't so huge but it's definately a bulge with added weight and slight discomfort...but nothing compared to what I know now is ahead. I feel excellent and have an appointment WEDNESDAY to see the little FETUS. We will find out then whether "it" is a BOY or a GIRL. What do you think? I kind of think Girl and Dave says Boy?? We can't wait to add some detail to our thoughts about this lil' #2.

-MY dearest mother had a Birthday this week and turned a Whoppin 45. She's a young, HIP Gram and that's for sure!. Beckham and I spent the night on Tuesday and helped celebrate her Big day Wednesday. Here are a couple clips of the Bday girl throwing a dance party. haha

-The list will end here with our fabulous Valentines Date. YAY. Dave and I actually found a babysitter and went out to a lush restaurant in Park city. I even splurged and ordered a special brewed....cream soda. They did have quite the list of Brews too. For a non-soda kinda girl it was pretty good. Anyways. There's the Latest and Greatest. Hopefully all ya'll are out adventuring for the long weekend. PEACE.

The random wardrobe of the Beckster!

It's a Bird, it's a snowman, it's a day at the West's

These pics are from the last couple of times over at the West's house. Beckham and I play/babysit every Mon, Tues, and Friday. It's usually Anna, Beckham and I that get the most play time in because Josh is at school for the majority of the time. The highlight of our "play" usual occurs while Beckham is down for his good 2-3 hour nap.
Anna and I built this snowman all by ourselves and had a photo shoot once Josh got home. It needed a face but with all of the snow and wind we've been getting...it was gone the next day.

We saw several bald eagles the next time we were playing and had a great time trying to sneak up on them with our camera and binoculars in hand. They were eating something on the mtn right behind the house. It was awesome to see them so close.

Snow Sunday...

Church was cancelled and we're layin low.

This used to be our backyard....now it looks like this. The tree, and the planters are long gone and the fence is close. I think we'll stay home for the super bowl party.
