Carter Pumpkin Carving Party

Say that 3 times fast...

Saturday night we had the annual Carter Halloween party. Dave's mom Loves her holidays and makes everything so festive and cute. I think her and Martha are secretly best friends.? Here are a couple examples of her work this year.

ready, set, GO!

1st haircut

Here are the before and after shots.

Dave was quite handy with the clippers, which wasn't a huge surprise considering he's been cutting his own hair since the 8th grade. But all home made haircuts kind of scare me...anyways, it turned out nice and it was fun to have Dave do the honors.

River and a picnic

This is the hilarious Josh that drew the 'crib'; picture for Beck. (I watch Josh and his sister Anna at their house a few times a week)
Today, I told them each to pack some snacks and toys for our trip to the river. They each gathered their stuff and we headed out. When we got there, Josh immediately strapped on this mask, put on his gloves and began collecting 'sea snails'. He was serious about it too.

Good kids and always a fun Friday.

Tag along.

This is what I've been doing lately. Running. And running. Down endless country roads.

Beckham and I have ran just under 15 miles in the last 3 days. Whoa. Feels good though!. The weather has been perfect and it's such a pretty place to run in.

Although, today was definately harder than the last two. Maybe i've already exercised out all of my good thoughts. You know, the ones that make you forget.? They take place of the pain and milage?
Anyways, all I could think about was the pounding of my feet, my breathing, my sweat head and......this dark beauty that was one step ahead, just eggin me on. Haha

What a nuisance.! Thought she was tough till I pulled a quick 180 and left that 1-D track star in the dust!

Baby bro-zere

This is one of Beck's new birthday outfits. I LOVE jeans on kids, and the shirt is cute but makes me think of a troubled teen? Maybe it's the prison orange? I don't know.. I was just in a giggley mood today.

Then, he pulled out all of these and managed to get one stuck around his neck. This made him mad, rageing mad actually. And I couldn't help it..the whole thing was funny to me. That's all.

HAPPY Happy Birthday BECKHAM!

What a Weekend! Beck is ONE year old!! I can't believe it. His b-day was Sat. the 20th at 5am to be exact. What a crazy day that was. Dave and I were so surprised when he came out with his stylin' red hair....which has stuck with him. One thing is for sure, I feel a world better this Oct. 20th then the last. Can I say YOUCH. hahha

We had two parties, one Saturday night at the Bateman's, and one Sunday night with the Carter's. Some of his favorite gifts included a little 4 wheeler that had some catchy tunes and start em up noises, a musical guitar with real jams in Spanish or English, and a bouncy cow. Those are only a few. He was one spoiled one year old. Thanks everyone.!
We Love you Beck!

Now the question is, where to put everything?

2A Semi-Finals

We went, we played hard, but ended the season with a 3-1 loss to the NOW state champs, Rowland Hall. It was an awesome experience just to be there and fight for the Finals. No one expected we would have such a great season, which made it even better. Way to GO team!! To read more about the game and the "FIESTY WILDCATS!" Go here.
It's kinda sad actually to see the season end. I'll miss the crazy times at practices, bus rides, bossing 22 girls around, Coach Jane, running and scrimmaging with the team and my hook ups with new soccer attire. I guess I'll have to come back next year and do it all again, even better?!

Here are some of the many photos that my madre took at the game. Julie-Mother was snapping pics left and right, and even got chummy with some of the newspaper photographers. She came out with some great shots.

Sarah McLachlan-Ordinary Miracle

This song is in my head lately...thought I'd get it out.
* PLUS, we had tons and tons of creepy spiders flying through the air the other day so, I was telling Anna how it was just like Charlotte's Web and she kept asking me, 'ya, but Miss Breona.., are 4 going to stay behind.?' I thought it was a cute.

BBHE

Beckham and I once again made the best out of our Monday night at home. Dave was writing a paper for school so he was at the office/music get away/class room for the night. The Beck n' Bre home evening however was full force. We spent most of the night crawling around the house, taking turns being the 'chaser'. I tried to give him a ride on my back and he just laughs without holding on. He's not so good at it.

And that's the attempted BBHE photo shoot...
Looks more like injured war victims...trying to get to safety while having a good attitude about it. Sad.!
But, never the less, a good ol' time.

SSSHH!

So, today during sacrament Josh, who is six, comes over with a Halloween picture that he drew for Beckham. He whispers to me what it is exactly then sneaks back over to his parents.
A few minutes later, he's back with another picture that he's holding behind his back. So I lean in and he says to me, "oh, Beckham is gonna love this one! He'll be so happy."
This is what I see.....

There is a way out
of the CRIB

Oh man I was dying. Josh's face was classic and then the picture of a crib with a baby laying on the ground under it.
anyways, there was no escape route, so no worries. He's still a prisoner.

Weekend winners!

V for Victory

We played Manti in the Quarter-finals on Saturday and barely came out with the VICTORY. It was tied 1-1 so, we went into a "golden goal" overtime. We scored first, which ended the game and will take us to the SEMI-Finals. Pretty intense, even as a rookie coach. What made the game even more exciting for me, was having Manti's coach be one of my good friends, Eleshia. We were roommates in Ogden and played together on Weber State's team. From the beginning of the game I was giving her the evil eye, and Hi-ya upper punch moves from across the field. We were both out to kill. haha. It was all fun and games....once we won.
