Pregnancy 101
So, as I was entering my blog, I took note of my cyber fetus and the fact that it reads 101 days left till baby. WELL now, in all honesty, with that number and the fact that I delivered Beckham a week early...I've got to be in the DOUBLE digit count down BABY.! Something maybe not so shocking to you??? But wowzas, I am getting close.
With that, I have to say that this mentioned "countdown" gives me two major conflicting emotions...excitement and painful Dread. Babies are great, no doubt about it. They ARE the excitement, along with all the fat, uncomfortable, pain, lethargy and endless other prego symptoms that begin taking their journey FAR far and away.....from me. YAY! But with the baby excitement, there is always the "Painful Dread" of getting that baby OUT. Yikes, it is an ordeal to say the least and even after. Haha. And I laugh because us crazy women know it and continue to "suffer" with multiple labor and deliveries.
Last night, and probably a few other occasions, I said to Dave, "Why can't you just take a turn with this pregnancy thing?" Granted, those occasions have been when I am feeling like absolute DOO DOO; GUYS in general could have some "physical annoyances" that us girls were born with?> Right? <<< Sigh.>>>
Now for the ironic part about all of this...I was reading the "emmagoodegg" blog today and she posted about a women that wanted to be a man but didn't want the 'complete' sex change. (yea, could be confusing) Took hormones, still married a woman, they wanted baby, full on woman/mom couldn't get pregnant, SO the she/he/dad stepped up to the plate. Check it out if you want to see a pic of a pregnant 'man'...It made me feel kind of yucky and sad. After reading and seeing this I was re-established in my surety of the family unit and how special it truly is to grow a child and be a mom.! I do LOVE every minute of being a mom! I'll try not to complain anymore, guys are great.....supporters! Love you DAVE!!

The Weekend Easter Festivities..
PART I
Beginning Saturday at Dave's parents, we spent some quality time decorating and dying eggs. Beckham's 1st attempt was looking pretty good...and then he decided that smashing them was much more entertaining.

The smallest cousins decided to entertain us with some daring ladder tricks and then it was off to the scavenger egg hunt.

The kids came out with quite the jackpot.!

We had a great weenie/mallow roast to fill our bellies and called it a night. Well, not quite...Dave and I headed down to my parents for a part II Easter celebration. Thanks Carter's for good times as always!

Part II Easter Weekend
We arrived at the Bateman house around 10pm, put Beck to bed and seriously considered doing the same. BUT...NO WAY, those Bateman's are die hard, anti sleep, party all night-ERS. And so, we had another egg party.

Below is my bird Trio, Ma and Pa bird are about to crack down on lil pinkie for her flighty behaviors

The next morning, we tagged along with my parents to church. This is where we got the real celebration of Easter. What a great blessing it is to know that there is life after death. There is a plan for each of us and we will all be reunited one day. It was fun to see some of my old leaders and neighbors as well.
My Grandma and Grandpa Trujillo have been throwing the Easter party for over 25yrs now...We used to all do egg hunts and now that we're old and I guess have perfected the hunt, we throw darts at balloons. A piece of paper with a written prize POPS out of each..."dinner with gram and gramp, Sleepover and Pizza, $$, or SORRY" We all love being loud and annoying together, but mostly together.

Top it all of with some CHEESE from the Beckster!

Blog Lurker?
I've never really looked at anyone's blog that is COMPLETELY random and unconnected until just recently. I mean ya I've lurked on friends and family of my friends many a time but this blog, the blog that I am about to share with you, is one that I stumbled upon while google-ing some cartoon pics. And, basically I'm hooked? The site is emmagoodegg and she's from a far away asian land, Brunei, with very American interests. Her posts are pretty creative and smart. Hey, It's Friday...take a lurking tour and see what you think?. You'll be hooked too.

Weather or not? A final plea.
Dear Mother Nature,
I understand that you have your good days and your bad days, as do all of us...but, there has been far too many 'bad' days for me NOT to be concerned. It is March 20th now and once again I woke up to a snow storm. I am trying not to let your mood affect my own, but these 'storms' have not only been limiting my outside activities, they have spread to my inside activities as well.
I'm just saying, change can be one of life's greatest blessings. Bring on the SPRING baby!
Love, your still cold and snowy friend from Utah.
P.S. Here is my ghetto TV trying ever so hard to be just like you.

Happy St. Patty's Day!
Havn't really worn green all day but wasn't planning on going anywhere today. SO...., instead I decorated one of our boiled eggs and made some green crepes.
Gone Swimmin'
Beckham and I decided to get out and go take a dip in the local pool. He absolutely LOVED it. When we walked into the building, he could see the pool and the bazillions of kids through the glass. This immediately triggered a crazy spaz out and he began yelling baby gibberish and making the "bath" sign over and over. It was pretty funny actually. So, we swam with most of our towns kids and then OF COURSE ended up being evacuated because of a few brown floaties. GAH. It probably was just a giant potty.
Making the rounds with ROCK BAND.
This game is has been getting some good usage and has been very entertaining so far. I took it too my parents house and played with my ma and sister shelly until the WEEE hours of morn. My mom cracks me up. I wish I had video of us playing because we are good. haha. I'll admit, it is hard sometimes not to get into it, But..more than a few times Ma threw out some cuss words while pounding the drums. This mom is a Guitar Hero Champion so the drums were not going to get the best of her.
The next Rock out was in Kamas for yet another great mutual activity. I promise we do spiritual uplifting things also...and this was about increasing our talents and working together. YES, that's it, very well justified. haha. The entire group had a blast and not one of them had played it before SO, not only great, but another 1st for everyone. One of the girls could play Level Hard on the drums, which is quite a feat.
*Ok and this should be the last Rock Band post, considering the slight nerdiness I'm feeling as I reread this. OH well. GOOD times should be shared.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me!
I turned a Woppin' 26 on Tues the 4th and I am now closer to the 30's than the 20's. Now that is a little strange?! I've been driving for 10 whole years and married for almost 5. Which means what??? ..idk, I guess that I'm licensed to drive my husband crazy? haha. Anyways, the Times They Are A Changin....and I've enjoyed each season and change as it's come and gone. Life has treated me pretty good!
For my big day... I went to lunch with my friend Heidi, that lives here in town. I was hesitant whether to go or not because Beckham wasn't feeling too well but another friend of mine offered to watch him and that in itself was an awesome bday present. I felt bad for the little guy but did it ever feel nice to get out and relax on my own.
Once Dave got home from work he gave me a huge homemade card and my present. This year I wanted to tour the world with a Rock Band of my own...so, my wish came true. ROCK BAND in XBOX 360 form. I had never played it before but had played Guitar Hero plenty and was ready for some new instruments to master(this one has drums, bass, guitar and vocals)...If you'd like to join my band, I'm ready to bring you along. NEXT stop...Amsterdam.
SO, I've got another form of entertainment and definately another Sweet young womens activity. haha.
-The day was filled with calls, emails, texts and cards, which I thank everyone for.
-Dave and I went to a great dinner while mom watched Beck
-Brownies and icecream for dessert with the fam
-and...a crying baby all the way home. *Come to find out he has TWO ear infections along with a cough and runny nose. POOR GUY.
Here are a few pics and a short video of my playing some real drums.
