Blessing Day for our lil' Roma

She looked so cute in her white dress. This dress was actually sewn by my grandma Bateman for my blessing day. I thought it was pretty neat to think that we were both blessed in the same dress.
Dave has such a strong spirit and such a way with words..he gave a beautiful blessing. Afterwards, we all met at a park/cabin near our house for some grub. Delish. Everything turned out great...thankyou family and friends for making it special. muah

Family Fishing

This was the same fishing spot that Dave and I tried with the yw a few weeks back. It is so pretty and we had to go back for more. This time the kiddies came along.

Good company

I'm telling you....Beckham loves having a new friend to take care of make smile. He is a great big brother.

It makes him so happy when Roma lays by him in bed..I think this pic is so sweet.

Brain tease #3

Three identical-looking umbrellas are sitting upright in a stand. Assuming the owners don't check their umbrellas' labels, what percentage chance is there that only two people will walk off with their own umbrella?

Special events

We've had two special events this past week that I am waiting to share with pictures.
-We blessed Roma this past Sunday.
And..
-Happy happy bday to Dave! He turned 31 yesterday.

Tomorrow the kids and I will be hanging out at my parents house while Dave volunteers to escort for General Conference. Its from 6am-10pm and he gets to go to both sessions. He's pretty excited for the experience.
SO, I will post some photos then. Hope you are all enjoying the change of seasons. Fall has got to be a favorite! Jeans, jackets, colorful mtns., crisp air, yummy warm food... I love it!

Seeds of faith

We had yw in excellence last night, which is a program to honor the girls and display a project they've accomlished this year for personal progress.
To say the least, I've been a little stressed about it coming together and the talk I was to give.
The presidency dressed up like farmers and my talk was on planting a seed of faith, nourishing it and reaping its rewards. All in all...it turned out great. I wasn't thrilled with my talk because I felt scatter brained but...the message was there.

You may already know this but in preparing my talk I learned that the sunflower is always facing the sun. Hello! Where have I been? That's good stuff! We should do the same! Look to the light and follow the sun/son.

Oh by the way...

During the soccer game, I got full on nailed in the left neck/face/jaw by a line drive ball headed out of bounds. I was slightly turned and not watching... Or it would've been a total nose breaker. It was painful!! The crowd let out a big gasp at moment of impact.
Kinda funny now that its over.?
