Dressed in green for the south summit VS. North summit football game. We waited 10 minutes just to get in the stadium for this 2A team rivalry. Good ol' Grampa Trujillo, who is a north summit alumni, tells me that these teams have been head to head rivals for 60+ years.'Back in those days SSH used to whip our tails', he recalled to me over the phone. Well, with 5 minutes left in the game the score was 21-7 for Grampa. No tail whippin' this year,..although, SS did have a star player out because of an injury.
We took off a bit early so exiting wouldn't be as long as entering. It was our first highschool function and an excellent choice to break us in. In no time at all, I'll make it to 'supa fan' status. GO WILDCATS!
