My vote tonight!

For AI, it had to definately go to David Cook. I loved that he chose that song and chose to change it up. It wasn't a same old Mariah Carey song, I actually wanted to listen to the whole song.
At First...
I loved Archeleta, Brooke White, and Castro.
NOW...
-Archeleta is getting kind of Jr high talent show/ geeky. He's great, no doubt and my Utah home boy.. but, his song choices are all pretty cheesy?
-Brooke's tears and lip biting faces are getting old.
-And for the hippie Castro, he just makes me laugh I guess.? I feel like he's just playing around? I don't know, this week they didn't do it for me like MR. Cook did!

Yay! Biggest loser finale just got over and I wanted Allie to win! I can't imagine losing 109 pds of anything. First girl winner.

And there's my TV Tuesday night. It was a good way to end a long day.

Info to STAY TUNED FOR:
*We had Beckham's 18 mth old pics taken this morning.
*It's SPRING BREAK for Dave this week and tomorrow we're taking off..south, national parks, food, and sun will be involved. See ya!

Spring flowers, Kites and......SNOW.

On Tuesday, APRIL 8th, I woke up to this bright yellow rose and a kite on the table with a note that read, "Happy Spring Love David." He always does little cute things like this for me, which I love. I've been protesting snow and praying sun for a while now. So,..of course, I go open the blinds for the day to find this "UNSPRING-like" picture. I just laughed and once again enjoyed my life indoors. haha.

Conference Weekend!

I know, I know, this was last weekend...but I just had to say that I LOVED it. It's always such a testimony builder to hear the speakers, and our new prophet bear their own testimonies of Jesus Christ and his true gospel. You can honestly feel that they KNOW with a surety that Jesus lives and the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true....I don't usually blog about too many "churchy" type things but, it's a FACT that I am who I am because of what I believe and strive to live by.
SO with that- I also know with a surety that this gospel is true and that it brings happiness when we follow it's teachings! It's a hard line to follow now but I know the rewards will be everlasting.

Last weekend was not only great for the previous reasons but my sister Shelly came to hang out. She came up Saturday night and brought presents for us, just cuz and then joined our band for the world tour. YA YA.

She literally treks cross country to DC in 2 wks so, hopefuly she'll come up again for a couple days. We'll miss you SHELL! Here is Beck trying to be tough??

Sunny days with Anna

Even though the temperature is still freezing here, if there's a bit of sun, we try to get out there and enjoy it. One day we walked to both parks in town, had a picnic and sent Beckham down the big twisty slide for his first time. It was crazy. But he loved it, didn't fly over the edge like I was scared about and he did a 180 so came down head first on his back. I really should have taken some video of it but I was a little nervous for him. He's only 17 mths and a little dare devil.

Then today, which was another sunny COLD one, the 3 of us went to the Provo River to throw rocks for a bit. It was so pretty. I felt bad that fisherman Dave was at work while we were throwing rocks into a prime spot for catching the big ones.

We left the river and took our PB/J's to a nearby park...That didn't last long at all, because I was about to HEAVE...Parks alone are germ fests, but parks with germ fest kids are not allowed! There was this poor kid there that had BIG green, black boogs coming down and out the nose, with full on PEE-ED pants. Slime trails were down every slide and every swing. Are you getting that barf feeling? ya. I feel bad for him but Nasty. We were outta there!

Kissin on baby Laird

I just have to say that it is so crazy to Grow up. I can't believe that my kids and my cousin's kids are now the ones kissin each other and playing at Great Grandma's house together. This is Trisha's new baby Laird with Beck. Honestly it doesn't seem that long ago that we were the kissing cousins at grandma's house. That was OUR stomping ground. Life as a kid with close cousins is something I will Always and forever treasure. All of us still have the best times together. But I do have to say that being a mom is really incomparable. Seeing a new generation of kissing "cousins" also gives me a new/different perspective of my own parents and how much time and love they put into us kids. Thanks MA and PA...Hope your loving the Grandma and Grandpa side of things now.

Here chicy, chicy!

Anna and Josh got 8 new chics about 2 wks ago and they are already so much bigger. I didn't have any pics of them so I just snapped a couple with my phone. Beckham thinks that they are the coolest. We have fun playing with them.

Reality bites.

I just have to say that Tuesday night TV was just what I needed.

Or not?....Just as I finished writing the previous sentence, breaking news came on about that poor little Thai girl that has been missing from SLC. No details yet, but she was found dead. How sad and not in the Tuesday night category for 'good' tv. This world just keeps getting Creepier and Creepier to live in! Its scary to think of raising kids and keeping them safe, well rounded and righteous/moral people.

It just reminds me that reality TV can only mask the real world for so long. Yet, sometimes those are the 'masks' that help keep us sane when days are a little...insane.

**For me, AI and the Biggest Loser were pretty entertaining. I've always liked blondie nanny and Archeleta but tonight I became a fan of the Aussie as well. He's strangely cute?
As for the biggest loser, I just couldn't believe how much of a cry fest it was. Sheesh. That there, is a pretty dramatic show.
